(NC Research Campus, Kannapolis, NC- November 10, 2011)- The North Carolina Research Campus' (NCRC) and the Piedmont Farmers Market indoor, year-round farmers market are going all out for the holidays. Friday, November 25 and Saturday, November 26 from 10 am to 5 pm at 120 West Avenue, the fifth annual Holiday Market will offer the best local and North Carolina-based products from produce to trees to gifts.

"The NCRC is committed to promoting good food choices, supporting farmers and local business and bringing our community together," said Phyllis Beaver, NCRC marketing director. "The indoor, year-round market does both every Thursday, but the Holiday Market ups the ante with the best of everything a family could want to celebrate the holidays from delicious foods to the most original gifts."

The Holiday Market annually draws hundreds of people from as far away as South Carolina and Virginia who find a variety of products and merchandise including fresh fruits and vegetables; cakes, pies and homemade candy; jellies and jams; canned goods and candles; jewelry and jackets; North Carolina Christmas trees, wreaths, and greenery; North Carolina wines and juices; and hand-crafted gifts. The Holiday Market provides musical entertainment, visits from Santa and Mrs. Claus, horse-drawn carriage rides and children's activities.

For those who cannot attend the Holiday Market, the weekly farmers market is Thursdays from 3 pm to 6 pm at 120 West Avenue in downtown Kannapolis. Only cash or check accepted with prices to suit every budget.
