(NC Research Campus, Kannapolis, NC- November 12, 2012)- Start your holiday shopping without all of the hustle and bustle at the Annual Holiday Farmers Market at 120 West Avenue in downtown Kannapolis from 10 am to 5 pm on Friday, November 23 and Saturday, November 24.
An extension of the indoor, year-round farmers market, sponsored by the NC Research Campus, the Holiday Famers Market offers the best local and North Carolina-based products from fresh produce to unique hand-crafted gifts.
“This is a fun way for the NCRC to join in celebrating the holidays by making fresh produce available along with beautiful and creative gifts made by our local artisans and entrepreneurs,” said Phyllis Beaver, NCRC marketing director. “The indoor, year-round farmers market does both every Thursday, but the Holiday Market is a special occasion for families who want to celebrate the holidays with local foods and original gifts.”
The Holiday Farmers Market annually draws hundreds of people from as far away as South Carolina and Virginia who find a variety of products and merchandise including fresh fruits and vegetables; cakes, pies and homemade candy; jellies and jams; canned goods and candles; jewelry and jackets; North Carolina Christmas trees, wreaths, and greenery; North Carolina wines and juices; and hand-crafted gifts. The Holiday Market includes food vendors, wine tasting by North Carolina vineyards, visits from Santa and Mrs. Claus, children’s activities and, weather permitting, horse and carriage rides. The Holiday Market always provides great opportunities for Christmas card photographs.
Cash or check accepted with prices to suit every budget. The weekly farmers market is Thursdays from 3 pm to 6 pm at 120 West Avenue in downtown Kannapolis.
