Dr. Gibas is in her second year of National Institutes of Health (NIH) funding to study microarray design and published a related paper based on initial results with colleague Dr. Anthony Fodor and her graduate student in Computational Biology and Chemistry.
This year, Dr. Livesay has had two papers published in the journals, Bioinformatics and Nucleic Acids Research, two papers presented at two IEEE Symposium conferences on bioinformatics, was appointed editor for the Biomacromolecules Section of Chemistry Central Journal, and was invited to co-author a textbook chapter in Bioinformatics for Systems Biology from Humana Press.
Since coming to UNCC in June 2007, Dr. Weller has had a paper published in BMC Bioinformatics on the effect of SNPs in gene expression microarray data, and has been invited to contribute a chapter to each of two books on network methods in systems biology, to appear in 2008.
